On August 27-29, 2009, more than 200 volunteers comprised of Dentist, Dental Students, Dental Hygienist, and Dental Assistants gathered in the North Charleston Convention Center to provide free care to 1400 patients who were not able to afford a normal office visit to get necessary dental work done. Seventy three dentist chairs and 12 Hygiene chairs were kept going from 6:00am Friday and Saturday mornings until 5:00pm on Friday and 4:00pm on Saturday. Thursday afternoon triage was done to get early Friday morning appointments set up.
